The Ultimate Paleo Gift Guide

It’s that time of year again! Time to show your family you love them by buying them lots of gifts! To be honest, I may be a little jaded when it comes to the hedonistic excess that the holidays can bring. It feels a bit crazy to run around stressing about what to get someone who has everything they could need or want, while at the same time knowing that I also have plenty and have little need for anything more from the people I love who are probably stressing about gifts for me.

With this in mind, we have created a guide with gifts that are items we actually love, Paleo gift ideas that we (and hopefully you or you loved ones) will actually use. We love the idea of finding the perfect gift. This is made even better when those gifts are useful, edible (plus healthy and delicious) or thoughtful.

They come in a set of 8, and includes two cleaners. The straws are available in wide and extra wide widths for those who really enjoy their blended drinks.

Food

Give the Gift of Love (and by that we mean food)

What says love more than bacon? Sending someone some of Pete’s Paleo’s mouth-watering bacon is a sure-fire winner!  Once you try Pete’s bacon, the commercial bacon sold in the grocery stores that you once couldn’t imagine Sunday morning without, will be a distant memory. Pete’s Paleo bacon is the meatiest, most supple, melt-in-your-mouth bacon, so good it’s a game-changer.

Bone broth is not only good for you; it has become a trendy drink to sip on. It can, however, be time consuming to make and sourcing the very best ingredients can be a challenge. Pete’s Paleo Bone broth is made with only the best grass-fed beef bones and organic vegetables and filtered water, seasoned just right and packed full of flavor, minerals and gelatin. Shipped frozen right to the recipient’s door, it is good for 10 days in the fridge or up to 6 months in the freezer!

Shopping for someone else, but not sure exactly what their preferences are? Give the gift of a Pete’s Paleo Gift Card to their favorites.

Kasandrinos Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Simply put, Kasandrinos is one of the best extra virgin olive oils you could get your hands on. Their olives are picked from a single (organically tended) grove in a small Greek town, pressed within hours of picking, bottled and delivered right to your door. The flavor speaks for itself and the benefits of true extra virgin olive oil are well known.

Dry Farm Wines

Research consistently shows that moderate wine consumption (one to two glasses a day) has huge health benefits. Wine is also a beloved, delicious and fun way to bring people together and bond at a deep level.

Most commercial wines are NOT Paleo. It turns out all the unwanted side effects from wine - headaches, hangovers, gastrointestinal discomfort, poor sleep – are not caused by the wine itself but by the processing and additives used in modern winemaking.

Fortunately, there’s a healthier way. If you drink natural wines (made the primal way), they’re a much healthier, cleaner product, and a healthy part of the Paleo lifestyle.

Dry Farm Wines curates primal, sugar-free, low alcohol, low sulfite wines so you get these benefits without the downsides. They make a great gift for yourself or your loved ones. You can choose your favorites and sign yourself or a friend up for monthly subscriptions.

Last, but definitely not least, the most appreciated gift of all

Time

Sometimes experiences and time together is the most thoughtful, meaningful and appreciated thing you can give. After all, your time is your most valuable currency, and what a gift it is to have time to give. Not only is it good for reducing the accumulation of stuff that happens over the years of holiday giving, but memories and connection are good for your relationships, and simply great for the soul.

Some of our favorite ideas on how to gift an experience:

  • Cook them dinner/cook a meal with them (or order your Pete’s Paleo meals and enjoy together)
  • For a family, gift the family a game or movie night with a gift basket of family games with small prizes for the winners, or family friendly movies with snacks (Paleo By Maileo has many to choose from)
  • Get them tickets to a local musician or a comedy show, both of which are often affordable and a fun way to do/see something new
  • For someone who has a child away from home, gift them a gas gift card for the drive, a music gift card to download their favorites for the trip and look up a restaurant or activity in the city their child is in to get a gift card
  • Take them away for a day for a hike in a scenic area or a picnic or book a weekend trip to take with them
  • Take a class together put on by community centers/studios/florists for a night making pottery, learning how to create holiday wreaths or pots, fermenting, mosaics, beer brewing (highly recommend for a boyfriend, husband or brother!), cooking class
  • Tickets to a sports game, play, wine tasting
  • Plan a staycation and choose an AirBnB that’s a fancy house, a crazy cool house (like a tree house!) or maybe just one with a hot tub to give you a fun night in your own city you would not normally have
  • Buy them a class or a month to their favorite workout studio

That’s a wrap! No pun intended. It is now up to you to disconnect a little from technology, connect a little with those who matter and begin to enjoy this season with those you hold dear.
